    We visited Epidaurus as part of a day tour to Mycenae, Nafplion and Epidaurus. An interesting small museum displaying basic medical equipment used in the hospital. The highlight was the sanctuary of Asklepoios which is the largest amphitheatre in the ancient world. Our group all stood in the centre of the circular base and clapped our hands - the sound echoed but could only be heard by our group - anyone sitting in the amphitheatre would just have heard clapping.
